PaulsRobot is designed mostly for individuals to act as their own session supervisor, unless there is a professional available who is trained specifically in these procedures. It is usually a bad idea to decide mid-session on a new session plan for the ongoing session. End the session first, take a breather, then work out what to do in the next session.

Here are some sample session plans. You don't have to stick to these, but it might be advisable, at least to begin with. You don't have to do them in the sequence 1, 2, 3, 4.

Example session plan #1
1. Ensure you're ready for the session, with enough food, sleep, not under the influence, and enough time available in a location where you won't get disturbed by the kids, pets, telephone etc.

2. Follow the instructions exactly as given, and end off the session at a good point per the LovedOne Session End Point page.

3. Start at the beginning with Part 1, and check all the questions in order, discharging all topics that come up in the order in which they appear.

3. Continue with the same topic as the previous session and see if there is more on it. If not, continue working through the Parts, discharging everything in sequence.

3. Since you have done a good number of sessions on life generally, and also on items related to your loved one, let's jump straight in with the Contact Procedures of Part 3 and see if we get anywhere with them.

3. Continue the previous session plan with different contact procedures, but at a different time of the day, just in case it is a more suitable time to reach your loved one.

3. Follow the instructions in the troubleshooting section. Do the out-of-session steps first; then if needed the first type of session; then if needed the second type of session.
