Reach and Withdraw

R & W is a very useful procedure for getting more and more familiar with something in an incrementally increasing manner that is at your own chosen pace.

Reach

Reach to your _____ means sort of mentally feel for it, look at it, or contact it in some way. This can include fully embracing it if you can, but does not have to. If you cannot actually see or sense it, imagine what it looks and feels like in the correct location in relation to body parts that you can see or touch. When you have done this as best you can, you may wish to say something aloud, like "Yes".

Withdraw

Withdraw from _____ means sort of mentally back away from it, put your attention on something else, get further away from it in some way. Even if you already sort of bounced off after a fleeting touch on the Reach step, still try and get further away from it on this Withdraw step - don't simply go, I already did it.

Say something aloud every command

Every time you reach to or withdraw from something, say something aloud (really!), at least "Yes."

Mark your worksheets

Mark on your session report what is happening as it happens.

Shutting down

If you start shutting down, click on Shutting Down at once.

Do it as long as you wish

Continue R & W as long as you want to. This might be a few times through (reach... withdraw... reach... withdraw... reach... withdraw), or it might be five hundred times through - or more - and many sessions. It is your choice. You can always run more Reach & Withdraw later whenever you want to.

Rub & Yawn when needed as usual
