Confront

Finding a part you could confront refers to the real world and not the images of it addressed in session, and means some aspect of the incident or incidents or topic that you are OK with. You can (now) tolerate it, allow it to be as it is without desiring to change it in any way.

Not usual English meaning of confront

Here it does not mean challenge or face in defiance.

Would rather not confront

Similarly, this refers to some part you find it hard to tolerate, some aspect you would prefer to be different. You would find it easier to face it if it were different in some way.
