Notes:Two main optionsSelect the type of session you will be doing per your written session plan.Rising ScaleThere are 14 pairs designed to be run in a particular sequence known in a certain cult as theRising Scalelist. That list and sequence is reproduced here. Full listThis is the full list of the 78 pairs in this module, which also includes all the Rising Scale pairs, although you can now run these in any order you choose. |
Notes (continued):Rub & Yawn!Don't fail to rub continually while getting the concept. It is RUB and Yawn for good reason. "Rub" includes stretching.Make it personalImagine each item applying to you in your current life, both the low-scale aspect and the higher aspect. Don't think of it in a theoretical sense, as belonging to someone else. Try to inhabit several real examples for each part.Alternate the two partsEven if you think you can get more yawns off without doing the other one of the pair, alternate the top and bottom, one yawn for each. It works better like this.Pair is flat when . . .The pair is considered flat when you can rub for a whole minute by the clock while thinking of each item without producing any yawns or other similar clear physical discharge (sigh, uncontrollable laughter etc.). If a pair produces no yawns or no further yawns — and doesn't feel like it is about to — despite vigorous rubbing for a minute, leave it.Merging of polaritiesAfter discharging a pair for a while, you may find it very hard to get any idea at all of the lower aspect of the pair. This is fairly normal. The phenomenon has been termedmerging of polarities. It will not necessarily happen with every pair you address. Different aspectsAll the pairs are really different aspects of the same thing, the bottom of the scale versus the highest level. Pick and choose among the pairs, except that if one pair bites - as manifested by yawns or other obvious physical discharges - then stick with that pair until it is flat. At that point, either end the session or go on to another pair if you don't feel "done" yet. |
