Total time

It is not unusual to spend twenty or fifty hours or even more in all doing these lists. There is no hurry. It is usually time well spent.

Where to find the lists

The Self Analysis Lists can be found in full in the book "Self Analysis." An abbreviated version of them is included in Clearbird's Road to Clear. None of the lists themselves are included in PaulsRobot, although as long as you have the lists separately PaulsRobot will run them on you.

Screen set-up (click image for larger version)

Small Self Analysis screen set-up It is suggested you follow the screen set-up as shown here. On the left are two windows. One contains the lists themselves. Here is a link to Clearbird's version. You will need to have it open in a new browser *window*, not just a new browser tab in the same window. Note that in Chrome or Safari you can just drag a tab and drop it on the desktop somewhere and it will open up as a new window. The other window on the left is a simple text editor like Notepad where you keep your session worksheet updated in real time as the session goes along. On the right is the main PaulsRobot window, with a tab to the right of it showing the perception to be used with the current question. This time, open a new tab, not a whole new window.

Flatten each list before going on

Each list should be flattened. If it is not flat when you get to the end of the questions for that list, simply start at the beginning of the same list again, but using a different perception to the previous time. The standard end point for this kind of process is very good indicators and a realization, with a floating needle on a meter if it is being used.

Incident, another, earliest, each with the same perception

Each line on a list is addressed with a set of four screens:
    1. The first screen asks if you can recall an incident of a certain type. If one comes to mind, then say aloud (really!) what it is.
    2. The next screen asks for "the listed perception" in the incident. This will be the sight, or the sound, or whatever is showing on the particular perception tab you have open. So now you will look at the same incident again but this time you will focus your attention on the particular perception (sight, sound etc.) that you have got to in turn.
    3. make a brief note of both on the worksheet.
  1. The next question asks for another incident of the same type. It can be earlier or later. Follow the same instructions as with the first screen.
  2. The third question asks for the earliest incident you can readily find on that topic. Same procedure again.
  3. The 4th and final screen is to change the perception.
The next screen uses the first question on a new line. If nothing comes to mind on any of these questions, then click the "skip it" link and go on to the next question.
