Write on Report:

The time at the start of this procedure
Write "Part 2b"
Write briefly the subject, the topic — a few words only, not in detail at all
For example:

2:32 pm
Part 2b
1. Topic? Mnk nndbh bbvwl.

Notes:

If you could talk . . .

This is a four-part procedure that goes 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, etc.:
  1. "All right. If you could talk to your loved one what would you talk about?"
  2. "OK. If you were talking to your loved one about that, what would you say exactly?"
  3. "Thank you. If your loved one could talk to you, what might you talk about?"
  4. "Fair enough. If your loved one was talking to you about that, what might he or she say exactly?"

How to do it

Say the words aloud. Speak as if speaking directly to your loved one, and as if your loved one were speaking directly to you. For example, say "Sorry Alex, I lied to you" and not "I would say to Alex, 'Sorry, I lied to you.'"

Purpose

The purpose of this procedure is simply to release any stress built up over undelivered communications, things that you never said to each other, for whatever reason. It is not designed particularly to facilitate communication to your loved one right here and now. The procedures in Part 3 are designed to do that. The procedures of Part 1 and Part 2 are preparatory steps for the Part 3 ones.
