Notes:6-direction processTake that incident, or the aspect of it presenting itself to you, and put it in the required direction. When you have done so, say aloudYesor equivalent, and click the appropriate link. If you start shutting down, click on Shutting downat once. Direction is relative to the bodyThe direction is usually taken to mean with respect to your body, soabove youor below youwould mean above your heador below your feet. Continue 6-dir until flatContinue with this 6-direction process until it is flat, i.e. there is no further change that you notice. If this is an incident, run through it one more time with R3R.More-basic incident(s) intrudingSome related incident(s) may get pulled into the mix, which may be earlier or later in time to what you have been running. This happens routinely. Pick the option to include more when you are forced to do so because you can't keep your attention off the other one(s), not at the first glimmer of maybe there is something else.Go with the flowThe general principle is to go with the flow. In this case, you want any additional incident(s) to come to you in the present, not abandon what you are working on and go off into the past chasing after something that isn't yet important enough to put your full attention on. This is a different principle to some older practices.Extra window openIf you are running this 6-direction process in an extra browser window as part of the Special Attention Process (SAP) on a heavy incident and it is now flat:
No extra window openIf you are not doing the Special Attention Process, this won't be an extra window and closing it would lose the main session window! If in doubt, minimise this window (click the_in the screen top right corner) and see if it is an extra window or the main one. Rub & Yawn when needed as usual |
