Case Supervisor review

The "standard" thing here is that the Case Supervisor looks over the sessions to make sure they went OK. Assuming they did, the person is sent to the Examiner to see if he wants to attest to the Grade being complete. At the Examiner, the person is shown a card containing a statement of the "End Phenomenon" of the Grade or Level. After he has read it, he is asked, "Do you have any doubts or reservations concerning your _____ being complete?"

This is done on an e-meter, of course. If the person does have doubts or reservations, then the case folder goes back to the Case Supervisor, who gets more information from the person about the situation and tries to debug it. It may be that the person should have been running some other processes (maybe addressing his problems with money or failing marriage or something); it may be that he just needs to run some more processes dealing with the subject matter of the Grade or Level (or go over the same processes that might have been skimped and run them properly).

However, of course, since this is PaulsRobot and there probably isn't a live well-trained Case Supervisor to consult, you are the one to make this decision. Look over the options given and select the most appropriate one. The good news is that you can always change your mind a bit down the road if you want to. It's your life, after all. :)

Unreal expectations

It can also happen that everything is fine and dandy with the processes and the preclear (client), but the real problem is that the "End Phenomenon" of the Grade has been overstated and is an unreal expectation for almost everyone. For example, the Grade 0 EP of "Ability to communicate freely with anyone on any subject" is often pretty much above the ability of people who have done the processes of Grade 0, even if they felt like they could in the euphoria of finishing a great final session or two.

So there are alternative Grade EPs to embrace people who feel that they did great but didn't actually achieve what was promised for the Level. In general terms, this alternative EP could be stated as "Feels good about what has been run on this level and has a pretty good ability in the area of _____."
