Notes:

Poke

"Poke your loved one" means sort of mentally send out a signal towards your loved one. It is more obtrusive than "Ping," and intended to impinge, like a poke in the ribs or tap on the shoulder or "Hey!" to a live person.

When you have done this, say something aloud, at least "Yes." You do not have to be certain that there has been any definite contact, but you should be certain that you tried for it, even slightly.

Other contact procedures

You can change among these seven contact techniques whenever you wish, but give one a chance to work before moving on.
